Situated on an elevated site near Llano, Texas, this residence overlooks the expansive Hill Country landscape. Designed to accommodate multiple families, the six-bedroom house is organized to support both gathering and retreat. Shared living spaces open toward a central pool and outdoor areas, while more private rooms are positioned at the edges of the house, each oriented toward a distinct view.
The home is organized around an entry courtyard that serves as a point of arrival and orientation. From here, the primary living spaces extend outward toward both the courtyard and the landscape beyond. This arrangement recalls the traditional Texas dogtrot, allowing air to move through the house and providing passive cooling. Adam served as lead architect on the project while at Olson Kundig.
